Upon a black disc 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) in diameter, a French helmet in uniform blue 2 inches (5.08 cm) in length by 1 inch (2.54 cm) in height.
The design is symbolic of the WWI service of the Division elements which fought with the French Army.
